RESIDENTIAL TOTE BASICS

The following is some basic information on utilizing your new cart. Please review the information below and begin utilizing your cart immediately.

Only household refuse is allowed in the tote. Please continue to bag your household trash before placing inside the residential tote.

No hazardous waste or ashes are allowed in the tote.

Small amounts of compost (grass clippings, leaves, and garden waste) are allowed in the tote but needs to be bagged.

ONLY the trash in the tote will be taken each week. Any trash next to tote will not be taken. Additional totes can be provided for a small charge by contacting the city auditor.

Please have the tote out by 7:00AM on garbage day with the handle of the tote facing in, away from street and clear of cars, mailboxes and other obstructions. Please keep the tote clear of snow. Do not place tote on top of snow banks.

Please place the tote where you currently have garbage picked up, curbside or equivalent.

To help maintain the appearance of your neighborhood please remove the tote from the curb as soon as possible. The tote is designed to be stored in your garage or other convenient location next to your home.

Please do not overload the tote in excess of your ability to safely maneuver it. Please try to keep the lid closed to keep pets and rodents from entering tote.

If tote is blocked (cars, trees, mailboxes, etc.), tote will not be dumped until the next regular service day. Any garbage set next to the tote will not be picked up.

Circle Sanitation will maintain ownership of the totes. If they are lost or damaged, on purpose or from neglect, it will be your responsibility to replace it. Do not deface tote in anyway.

If you are moving from your residence please leave at residence for new owners or contact Circle Sanitation so that we may collect the tote.
